I'm not sure who was the first person to call me Meeshie, I think it started in high school but I can't really remember because I'm getting old. When I studied commercial photography in college my brand new friends called me Meeshie too.  Then I moved to a Colorado ski town and those new friends called me Meeshie. Call it a coincidence or call it divine intervention but it's too odd to ignore.  When I wanted to make an instagram account Meeshie was already taken but Meeshiemoo was not. So here I am. Meeshiemoo in all her glory. You can call me Michelle if you like the proper way to do things. But you can also call me Meeshie ;) Because when you call someone by a nickname it means you like them! I'm finally embracing it and planning on taking meeshiemoo to it's full potential.

 

Here is the quick run down of how I got where I am at now, in 2020.

I have a film commercial photography degree. Can you believe that? What am I going to do with that my father asked? It didn't matter because how I got accepted into the film college is a story all it's own and it was somewhat my destiny.  I spent a few years after college working odd jobs and doing photography on the side. I took a hiatus from all things creative to start a construction business with my family in 2009, I did all the money stuff which is a sharp 180 turn from using my artistic brain.  It did give me some straight up knowledge on how to run a business though which is invaluable. I am now free from the daily grind of the construction industry to pursue all things that make me say 'Hell yes, give me more'  That might mean photography, that might mean writing a book or painting  with my 11 year old.  I hope you'll join me in this next chapter of my life to start creating again and I hope I inspire you to follow your dreams and make this your one extraordinary life and to believe in the magic of following your heart.
